About the teamThe Internal Communication and Creative Services team is a multi-disciplinary team within the Communications Branch. Our team supports departmental priorities by developing timely, accessible and engaging content delivered through news articles, digital channels, executive communication products and all staff events. We also provide graphic design and audio-visual services for internal and external audiences, and iCentral content design.
The Internal Communication sub-team :
manages the department's internal communication requestsprovides strategic communication advice to internal clients through an account management modeldevelops and executes communication strategiesorganises and supports internal events.The opportunityOur Communication Officer roles support stakeholder relationships and business areas to deliver internal communication solutions to achieve strong outcomes for their campaigns and projects by :
working with supervision, to provide best-practice strategic communication advice and support to clientssupporting and implementing internal communication strategies for departmental prioritiestimely delivery of communication activities for account areascreating accessible, clear and engaging content for internal audiencescontributing to positive culture within the teamsupporting the Senior Communication Officer in delivering the responsibilities of the teamworking closely with our design and audio visual teams to deliver communication solutions for internal clients to deliver comprehensive and engaging productsmanaging the inbox and triaging requestsanswering client queriesWhat's in it for you?This role provides the opportunity to work with communication experts and internal stakeholders to deliver communication for a variety of policies and programs. has excellent communication skills, particularly in internal communicationcan add value and is willing to go the extra mileworks well in a team and is willing to help others where neededhas excellent attention to detailhas strong organisational skillsworks collaboratively to establish and maintain effective partnerships with key internal stakeholderscan write accessible content that aligns with the government style manualDesirable skills and experiencetertiary qualifications in the communication fieldan understanding of government accessibility requirements and writing to the standard of the government style manualprevious experience in internal communicationsWhat you will dowork collaboratively within our team to support internal clients to develop and execute comprehensive, fit-for-purpose internal communication strategieswrite and edit content for our internal communication channels including the department intranet, digital boards and videos that support departmental business objectivesensure integrity through accuracy and consistency of messaging, responsiveness, timeliness, and quality output.be able to multitask and turn your attention to any job requiredmanage a busy inboxcontribute to creating and fostering a positive team culture.EligibilityNotesA merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.
