- Job Role and Summary
This role combines Leadership Skills, Management Experience, and Aged Care Knowledge into one. You'll work alongside the Organisational Management and Clinical Teams to continuously improve the Clinical Outcomes of your residents, as well as the Financial Controller who'll work with you to head the Operational Functions of the facility.
You'll be a great communicator who can cooperate with a diverse range of clinical professionals, have strong clinical abilities so you can coordinate the best treatment plans, and be eager to continuously improve your skills so you can lead to the best of your abilities.
- Responsibilities
- Lead your Nursing personnel as you work together to deliver outstanding Clinical Care
- Help your staff to create short & long-term goals and encourage continuous career development through education and training opportunities
- Ensure excellent operational performance across your Clinical Team in line with the new Aged Care Standards & Organisational Objectives, and keep up-to-date with new policies to improve the standard of care for patients
- Demonstrate your inspirational leadership skills and help to maintain a positive and engaging culture
- Be a point of contact between the Clinical staff and all other health consultants
- Head the Operational Functions of the facility alongside the Financial Officer
- Maintain the person-centred approach that the facility leads as you provide guidance, ongoing development, and regular feedback to your residents and their care team to ensure performance expectations are fulfilled
- Required Skills & Experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- 3 or more years' experience in a leadership role within Aged Care
- Detailed knowledge of Aged Care accreditation standards, relevant legislation and continuous quality improvement
- Successful completion of audits and accreditation
- A track record of building and leading high-performing teams
- Strong business acumen combined with a passion for Aged Care
- Enthusiasm, drive and a desire to be successful in this role
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
