Production Team Leader

• About the Role

Based at our facility in Preston and reporting into the Production Manager, the Production Team Lead will be responsible for :

• Conducting on job training where necessary and train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures.
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Support the Production Manager to achieve the production plan.
• Conduct maintenance activities as required.
• Monitor product to ensure conformance to specification.
• Monitor production operator techniques and assist team members in troubleshooting.
• Encourage, implement and respond to Safety and Productivity Improvement suggestions.
• Ensure that strict HSE rules and regulations are adhered to during the shift.
• Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
• About You

We are looking for an experienced Production Team Lead to join our team at our facility located in Preston with the following skills :

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach and mentor staff.
• Understanding of machine controls and instrumentation.
• Chemical manufacturing experience.
• Physical fitness, as heavy lifting is involved.
• Capacity to remain calm and focused whilst working under pressure.
• Forklift License
