Are you an experienced and driven procurement professional looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful outcomes for Queensland? Randstad is assisting a QLD Government department who are seeking a highly motivated Senior Procurement Officer (AO6) to join their ever-evolving team in the new financial year.

About the Role :

As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in delivering effective and efficient procurement services in accordance with Queensland Government procurement policies and procedures. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement processes for a diverse range of goods, services, and works, ensuring value for money and compliance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Independently manage low to medium complexity procurement projects, from planning and sourcing to contract management and evaluation.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies and plans aligned with organisational objectives.
• Prepare and evaluate tender documentation, including specifications, evaluation criteria, and contract terms.
• Conduct negotiations with potential suppliers to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement policies, processes, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Queensland Procurement Policy.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and systems.
