Ora Banda Mining is a rapidly expanding gold exploration and production company operating the Davyhurst project 120km north-west of Kalgoorlie in the highly productive Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia.
THE ROLEThe purpose of the Field Assistant is to provide support to the geological team in the field during resource definition and exploration activities. You will be on an 8 : 6 roster.
Key responsibilities include :
To provide timely support for resource definition and exploration work through hands on contribution in the field, including :
Collect, record and transport samples of rock, soil or waterCollate information collected from a range of samples and carry out computer processing of the dataDrill chip samplingprimarily RC and DiamondDrill chip collection, washing & storage - 'chipping'Movement of heavy sample bags - 'bag farming'Drill core operations which include mark-up, orientation, photography, magnetic susceptibility, RQD, densities, recoveries, etcABOUT YOUTo be considered for the Field Assistant role, you will :
Have previous experience working as a field assistant, or be a geology student or recent graduateEnjoy a broad range of physically related dutiesFirst Aid Certificate desirableHave a WA Class "C" manual driver's licenceELIGIBILITYMust be eligible to work in Australia (without requiring sponsorship) to be considered for this role.Further information about Ora Banda Mining is available on the Company's website
