The OneMusic Field Representative is a key part of our compliance program, from verifying whether music is being played and identifying the source of that music, to understanding what new business may have opened in vacant locations. They'll be visiting a range of businesses, from retail, cafes, bars, attending exercise classes and other locations to verify the public performance of music. Examples of information that we require will be the estimated size of a location, the music source and potentially recorded evidence of music being played.
Candidates need a current driver's licence, some knowledge of the music industry (appreciation of musical copyright is a plus), and a good understanding of local businesses. Strong people skills, time and record management, and adaptability are key to doing well in this job.
A casual role, 2- 5 hours per week, as nominated by the Account Resolutions Assistant. Days of work are usually Thursday to Sunday, and between the hours of 12pm – 9pm when assigned to visit retail, service providers, hospitality e.g. restaurants, bars and cafe and fitness centres. n.b : To collect evidence in the fitness industry, there will be the requirement to attend fitness classes or gym trials.
Like a mystery shopper for songwriters and composers, you'll be helping ensure that music creators get the fair compensation they deserve.
