At Coras, we fuse expertise with humanity, rigor with creativity and innovation with curiosity. At the core of our business is the belief that a diversity of perspectives is the key to new thinking. That's why our team brings together deep industry experience with some of the brightest young minds in Australia. Our values are more than just words on an email signature; we're driven by an ethos that inspires and governs everything we do.
The Role We currently have an opening for a full-time Business Support Officer to join our growing crew in Sydney. As part of the Corporate Services team, you will be responsible for providing critical administrative and executive support to our client-facing Professional Services team. You'll need to bring flexibility, initiative, and a service mindset to the role which will span multiple domains – everything from office management to communications and event support, social media posts, onboarding, contributing to the continual improvement of our operations, and more.
Our Ideal Candidate Does building rapport come naturally to you? Are you the type of person who notices when there's something out of place and decides to fix it? Are you a fast learner who thrives on variety and adapts quickly to new challenges? Do you want to belong to, and support, a #fearlesscrew of likeminded individuals who believe 'that will do' simply won't do? If yes, then this is the opportunity for you!
Required skills and attributes include :
Make spinning plates look easy : Work with diverse stakeholders to coordinate a wide range of business tasks, including executive support, office management, meeting logistics, travel arrangements and other general duties that contribute to the efficient operations of the business. If you're comfortable with buying milk for the office in the morning, coordinating logistics and marketing support for an industry event after that, writing and posting a social media post in the afternoon, and wrapping up your day by filing business expenses, then you're a good fit. Pride yourself on being the "face" of the office and the go-to person : The office is the physical representation of our brand, so your presence will be required to ensure it's humming smoothly. You're also expected to treat it with genuine pride and ownership – whether that's ensuring we replenish stocks ahead of time, tidying up meeting rooms, or being available to make coffees for a morning client meeting. As the first point of contact for the Business Support team, you'll also be ready to provide stakeholders with timely and accurate advice and support. Be curious, adaptable, and willing to learn : This is not a role where every day looks the same. While you will have some core recurring duties, you will also be asked to help other Corporate Services functions with activities and projects as needed – or maybe you'll even be asked to help with a consulting project! This means you get a taste of lots of different parts of the business, but also means you need to be open to learning new knowledge and skills that may be outside of your comfort zone. Love getting ahead of the game : Accountability and a sense of ownership is one of the core tenets of the Corporate Services team. Don't wait for someone to assign tasks to you. Take the initiative to identify what needs to be done and go ahead and do it. Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools : We use the Microsoft 365 suite, so you need some experience using MS tools like Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and / or SharePoint. Having any of these other abilities would be awesome (but not mandatory) :
Comfort with MacOS Experience with basic design tools like Canva and / or Adobe Interest in branding & communications Coras prides itself on being a management consultancy with a difference. Underpinned by our core values, we are trailblazers for innovative consulting models and strategic solutions. As a result, we have built a culture that has our people's aspirations, development and wellbeing front and centre.
