Requirements of the roleWoorabinda Pastural Company, wholly owned by Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council, is seeking a dynamic, culturally grounded, and visionary leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Chair of the board, you will provide strategic leadership, ensure good governance, and oversee the effective management of the pastural company. You will drive economic objectives, foster strong partnerships, and maintain compliance with relevant legislation. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of strategic plans with the board. Ensure compliance with the Local Government Act and other statutory requirements. Oversee operational management, financial sustainability. Build and maintain strong relationships with Traditional Owners, community members, government agencies, and stakeholders. Foster a culturally respectful and inclusive workplace and community culture. About You You will have business and operational experience managing a mixed pastural and cropping operation. Strategic ability to determine current and future opportunities Proven leadership experience, in the private sector, within local government, Indigenous organizations, or regional economic development. An understanding of Aboriginal culture, values, and community governance. Strong financial, administrative, and strategic planning skills.
