This role of Superintendent is to provide technical, planning and methodology advice for all aspects of the underground mine whilst developing operational plans. The remit of the role also covers mining and technical deliverables and developing, managing and implementing them. As a Superintendent you will also be tasked with the development of staff, their progress and their training effectiveness. Direct reports would be Senior Engineers, Engineers, Geo Engineers and Planning Engineers. As a Senior team member, you will be required to carry out statutory duties in the absence of the Mine Manager.
Regis Resources was originally incorporated in 1986 as Johnson's Well Mining and held that name until a restructure in 2004 when they were rebranded as Regis Resources. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength acquiring tenements in NSW and WA, running successful mines with solid yield.
The Duketon project in WA has 3 mines : Moolart Well, Rosemont and Garden Well with surrounding satellite pits. The expansion of the Garden Well mine has led to the need to ramp up recruitment and presents the opportunity for new team members to make their mark on how the mine runs. The culture of the business is one of respect and integrity which they have instilled throughout the workforce amongst their other values. "Respect, Integrity, Teamwork, Ownership and Courage". Regis are a supportive and organised entity that put a strong emphasis on staff care and development.

Alongside the bullet points below, I would look for someone that has specific underground mining experience and has worked in a similar position. You would have to have strong leadership skills and have an advance ability to problem solve, plan and execute a vision. Working across departments to ensure the effective and productive running of the mine is paramount so I would look for someone that has the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders in an efficient but personable manner.
