The current mine site locations are in the Northeastern Goldfields of WA, with multiple mining operations both open pit and underground. About the Role
Mine Planning and Scheduling
Develop, compare, and rank multiple mining strategies in collaboration with Senior Mine Geologists and under the direction of the Technical Services Manager.Produce mining schedules in accordance with each strategy, including quarterly and Life-of-Mine (LOM) forecasts.Based on the optimised mine strategy, produce and present the full LOM plan and schedules on a quarterly basis.Communicate the LOM plan to all relevant personnel to ensure awareness of future targets and operational directions.Procedures and Process Improvement
Update and maintain mine planning and design procedures for all tasks performed within the Engineering team.Identify and report any issues or risks in mine development and create systems to improve planning methods.Responsible for all planning activities, ensuring all planning requirements are incorporated.Costing and Economic Evaluation
Update all mining costs quarterly, using a 12-month rolling average based on actualsDevelop cut-off grades quarterly, considering various gold prices.Complete gold price sensitivities on the LOM plan.Finalise unit cost calculations for estimation purposes and educate all production and technical underground staff.Review economic evaluations for each mine design completed within the Engineering team to ensure financial objectives are met and material meets determined cut-off grades.Identify opportunities for cost savings during the mine design process and assist in preparing the yearly mining budget.Ore Reserve Estimation
Complete Ore Reserve Estimations in accordance with JORC code definitions.About You
Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering;At least 4 years underground mining operational experience in an underground hard rock environment;Intermediate level Surpac / Deswik skills;Mine Rescue and first aid experience desirable;Current WA class C manual driver’s licence.Why Regis Resources?
