- The Opportunity
- Key Responsibilities
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders and community to plan, implement, and evaluate a suite of programs and activities that respond to the identified needs of the local community and activate community facilities.
- Activate community through facilitation of community initiated and driven opportunities for residents to develop responses and solutions to locally important needs and issues.
- Support the development and implementation of a range of community engagement processes to identify local themes, and build capacity of the broader Melton community
- Build effective relationships to support hirers of the community facility and promote Council's community facilities and the programs, services and activities delivered from those facilities.
- Recruit and provide direction and support to contract tutors, casual staff, volunteers, and students working within Council's community facilities.
- Actively participate in strategic partnerships, networks, and stakeholder relationships to improve community outcomes.
- Prepare and implement community activities and communication strategies.
- About you
We are seeking applicants with a commitment to working collaboratively with the community, able to work effectively within a Local Government context, with a broad range of community stakeholders. Demonstrating the capacity to develop, manage and complete strategically planned community-based programs that are delivered within the relevant timelines, that will energise and activate the community.
- To be successful in this role you will have the following : _
- Community engagement, community development, and management of community facilities.
- Excellent communication skills; including the ability to adapt communications to identified need
- Knowledge in computer software, including Microsoft Office Applications and Internet technology.
- Current valid Victorian driver's licence.
