We are currently seeking a Full Time Fixed Term staff member to join our team based at our offices in Sunshine.

The role Reporting to the Social Policy Planning Officer, we are seeking a Full Time employee who can bring their skills and experience for :

Coordinating responses to rough sleeping and homelessness Establishing service partnerships that support system improvement and advocacy. Facilitate interdepartmental responses to complex homelessness-related cases Accompany council officers to engage with the public and people experiencing homelessness when required Liaise with Victoria Police, health, homelessness and housing services to coordinate responses To be considered you will have : Local government experience is desirable Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Youth Work, Community Services, or a related discipline, or certification in housing and homelessness support Knowledge of the Victorian homelessness service system, including referral pathways and housing support options. Understanding of trauma-informed practice, mental health, substance use, and family violence issues as they relate to homelessness. Proven ability to work collaboratively with a range of service providers and stakeholders in a culturally safe and person-centred manner.
