Executive Officer to the Assistant Commissioner of Counter Terrorism and Special Investigations(ACCTSI).
AFP Team Leaders play a pivotal role in developing people, managing change and influencing behaviours that lead to a supportive culture that respects the perspectives, talents and value of each individual. Consistent with the AFP values, AFP leadership philosophy, organisational reform agendas, AFP corporate business plans and your Performance Development Agreement, the expectation is that you will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position.
Executive Officers are responsible for undertaking detailed project and resource work associated with the implementation of operational or corporate activities on behalf of the Command. EO's possess high-level oral and written communication skills, a proven ability to negotiate and an ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What will you do?
Australian Federal Police (AFP) Band 7 Team Leader (EL 1 equivalent) and Executive Officer roles in the Counter Terrorism and Special Investigations (CTSI) Command and the International Command (IC) work in fast-paced environments and require the capacity to think strategically, identify opportunities and prioritise effort. A proactive and pragmatic attitude and high-level organisational skills, self-drive and initiative are necessary. The suitable applicants will be able to manage risk and work effectively under pressure in a changing environment, to deliver high-quality advice and outcomes.
The ability to build and develop strong working relationships with business areas and key stakeholders at a senior level; and
Additionally, applicants for Team Leader roles will bring Leadership experience, including the ability to develop team members and build a positive team culture.
Develop plans and ensure all resources are effectively directed at achieving business area outputs; and
Manage resources including, human, financial and business area assets.
Essential Requirements
The ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including with clients and organisational peers; and
Demonstrated attention to detail and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including high-level writing, editing and presentation skills.
