Our client offers advanced technical capabilities for utilities infrastructure and is recognised as a market leader in microtunnelling and other complex underground works across all sectors, in particular water, energy and power.

With projects in microtunnelling, deep shaft and caisson construction and complex service installations. Our client owns a modern fleet of equipment and has completed hundreds of projects for government clients, major construction and resources companies, and project alliances.

This is a full-time role based in the Queensland workshop in Yatala.

Day to day activities include :

Maintain and repair drilling machines.

Maintain and repair water transfer pumps.

Machining / lathe work.

Lite fabrication work.

Skills and experience required :

Trade qualification in fitter machinist or mechanic

Certificate III in Mechanical Trade - Fitter and Turner, Boilermaker / Welder

Minimum 2 years' experience in related role

Have a knowledge or exposure to heavy mobile plant

General Induction card

Clear verbal and written communication

Forklift ticket ideal but not essential

Gantry crane ticket advantageous but not essential

Dogman / Rigger ticket advantageous but not essential

Can work well in a team environment
