Airscope is looking for talented Field Technicians to fill multiple permanent positions within their fast-paced and rapidly growing field services team. You will be joining an exciting, innovative, and performance-focused team using cutting-edge and industry-leading technologies.
Working closely with the field services team to build complex 3D models by processing aerial photography, terrestrial laser point clouds, and terrestrial photogrammetry.

You will be required to m obilise to the field to conduct the safe and efficient capture of images and laser scans of remote infrastructure a nd assets to assist in their digitisation.
- Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Execute and comply with all management systems and controls to maintain quality, safety, environmental, and information security policies and procedures.
- Accurate, safe, and reliable collection of geospatial data of facilities and infrastructure using field capture techniques such as; aerial inspection and mapping, surveying, 3D terrestrial and aerial photogrammetry, and laser scanning;
- Planning for field operations and conducting all required risk assessments and permits to work with the aid of other disciplines;
- The safe and effective operation of company field equipment is in accordance with the manufacturers and company manuals;
- Adhere to company SOPs;
- Assess and advise on available and suitable capture techniques, including consideration for access and weather conditions;
- Data management in accordance with company SOPs;
- Consistently produce industry-leading results
- Assist in improving the accuracy and efficiency of our real-world scanning and digitisation processes for both in-field and in-office workflows
- Competencies, Skills & Experience
- Essential
- Basic Understanding of the Australian Construction / Oil and Gas / mining industry
- Experience OR a Graduate degree in any of the following; aviation, GIS, surveying, laser scanning or Geospatial discipline.
- Police Clearance
- Manual Driver's License.
- Understanding of how to manage high-risk sites, including coordinating work permits, risk assessments, etc.
- Software skills, in particular utilising document and photo editing programs for the preparation of image-based inspection reports
- Experience managing and presenting data, both in person and digitally
- Experience operating cameras and solid understanding of photogrammetry principles
- Desirable
- Experience with Leica Suite of equipment and software
- Dimensional Control Experience
- A CASA issued Remote Pilot License (RePL)
- Aeronautical Radio Operator Certificate
- UAV multirotor operations Experience.
- Thorough understanding of photography.
- L aser scanning experience on remote sites
