Domus Nursery, a wholesale production nursery near Kalamunda, is seeking a motivated individual with a passion for sales and plants to manage key local government and landscape customers within our sales team.
Our customer base also includes garden centres and Bunnings throughout WA.
Duties will include :
Managing sales to an allocated group of customers, primarily local governments and / or landscapers.
Preparing quotes for current stock and forward orders for stock to be grown.
Checking current stock levels in the nursery.
Reserving stock in the nursery for forward orders.
Serving customers via phone and email, building strong working relationships.
Using our computer system to process orders, check stock levels, and prepare picking sheets.
Updating customers on the status of forward-ordered or reserved stock.
Arranging delivery schedules for stock when ready.
Assisting with various general sales duties as needed.
This role will suit someone who :
Has some knowledge of plants, good plant ID skills, and a desire to learn more.
Possesses an approachable and professional demeanor.
Is comfortable working collaboratively within a team of 6 sales staff.
Has excellent attention to detail, with good numerical and spreadsheet skills.
Can adapt to changing priorities and multitask effectively.
Enjoys both office work and outdoor plant inspections.
Skills / Experience required :
Previous experience with plants, especially identifying and understanding plant names, is highly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel.
Touch typing skills.
Self-motivated and efficient work ethic.
Horticultural qualifications or progress towards them are highly regarded.
Own transport is required due to our location.
Salary will be negotiated based on experience and skills.
