Senior Library Officer

About the role

As the Senior Library Officer you will work as part of a team and will be responsible for delivering high quality day to day customer experience services, plans and programs.

This position will be based at Parramatta Library

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver proactive, high-quality customer service through roving support and deep knowledge of library services.
• Acting as Officer in Charge (OIC) when required.
• Assist with day-to-day operations including rostering, asset management, collections, and programming, and coordinate small projects to enhance service delivery.
• Support and train staff in using digital resources and library systems to improve efficiency and customer awareness.
• Ensure every customer interaction aligns with Council’s Customer Service Charter and Library Customer Care Standards, contributing to memorable experiences.
• Provide in-depth reference and research support to help customers access and navigate library information effectively.
