Quest Macquarie Park has a terrific opportunity for a new Maintenance Handyman to join its team on a part-time basis working 2 days per week overseeing the property's day to day maintenance and facilities operation.
Reporting to the General Manager, the role involves providing general maintenance of apartments, property grounds, as well as repairing and maintaining equipment to ensure positive experiences for our guests and the safe and efficient operation of the property.
Your key responsibilities will be around general maintenance, identifying equipment problems or faults and reporting them, maintain plants, implement improvements, undertake painting, complete repairs to fixtures, fittings, change light bulbs referring any repairs which exceed your skill and / or require a license or permit which you do not hold. You will be required to maintain stock of spare parts and replacements, update maintenance logs and supervise external contractors as required. Adherence to Occupational health and safety and security is paramount.
Will demonstrate pride in their work, a high level of attention to detail, excellent time keeping, an approachable, friendly demeanour, flexibility, maturity to work unsupervised, a strong appreciation of workplace safety, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Prior experience in a maintenance role is essential, and a trade qualification would be highly regarded.
The successful applicant must be available to work shifts, weekends and public holidays, and have entitlements to work in Australia.
