The Bureau of Meteorology Training Centre (BMTC) is responsible for the effective delivery of the Bureau's national technical training programs for meteorological personnel, supporting the Bureau to meet its mission of providing trusted, reliable and responsive weather, water, climate and ocean services for Australia.
As part of the BMTC, the Training Support Officer is a member of a team responsible for administrative support for the training programs delivered across internal and external clients. The successful applicant will work closely with the BMTC Site Coordinator and training program managers to support training activities, predominately delivered at the Broadmeadows training facility.
The Training Support Officer reports directly to the Manager of Engineering Training and is required to work closely in a team-based environment with members of BMTC and broader Organisational Development (OD) Program.
The occupant will be highly knowledgeable of administrative support functions, SAP Finance, Studybank procedures, records management, and student support and have well developed communication skills with the ability to provide a strong, professional customer service.
The Training Support Officer works collaboratively, follows process and procedures, and is reasonably autonomous, exercising a degree of independent judgement in making decisions within defined parameters. They plan their work in the context of competing priorities and contributes to and implements changes in workplace practices as required.
