A day in the life Leveraging your natural leadership and organisational strengths, you will oversee a team of Workplace and Classroom Trainers / Assessors delivering high-quality training in Laboratory Operations and Pathology Collection.
Reporting to our Chief Operating Officer you will be responsible for enabling effective, compliant, and efficient training delivery, including :
Supporting and mentoring training staff
Managing course scheduling and trainer allocation caseloads
Coordinating student groups and session logistics at the Training Centre
Ensuring training runs smoothly in the WA Training Centre and at client workplaces
Your approachable communication style and strong leadership abilities will allow you to unify and motivate your high-performing team of Trainers / Assessors, ensuring they are set up for success across all training environments.
You will also work alongside our Industry Engagement Team to ensure new B2B training programs are implemented logically to meet client needs, ensuring resource availability and compliance.
You will also take the lead in monitoring key operational questions, such as :
Are student cohorts and trainer workloads balanced?
Are sessions scheduled logically and efficiently?
Are trainers supported and resourced appropriately?
Are clients and students getting the outcomes they need?
Are compliance and quality standards consistently upheld?
Are there new opportunities we should be considering?
Must-haves Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 , TAE40116 , TAE40110 , or equivalent)
OR a diploma or higher qualification in adult or vocational education
OR a secondary teaching qualification (with TAESS00011, TAESS00019 or TAESS00024 preferred)
Demonstrated experience working in the VET sector, including :
Traineeship management
Details and compliance requirements of ASQA, and the Standards for Registered Training Organisations
High level of computer literacy
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
Experience in a similar management role
Experience as a VET trainer / assessor
Experience using a CRM
Experience using VETtrak
Qualification in commerce, business admin, management or similar
Experience in financial management, including budgeting and planning
Work with the market leader in Laboratory Operations and Pathology Collection training.
