Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant / Tax Accountant to join their Perth office team.
They are seeking candidates with advanced accounting knowledge who can handle joint venture joint account journal entries, prepare financial statements, and manage accounting / Tax audit processes in Oil & Gas industry.
This is a new position, and they love to adjust your responsibilities depending on your experience.
Receive and record revenue, as well as verify the payment
Prepare the monthly consolidated management accounts (B / S, P / L)
Perform monthly reconciliation of all B / S accounts
Maintain the accounting records
Prepare and maintain the accounting policy / budget
Prepare (and lodge) Business Activity Statements (i.e. GST return)
Prepare (and lodge) the annual corporate income tax
Prepare (and lodge) Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) return
Support for tax audits, compliance with Significant Global Entity (SGE) requirements, and monitoring, understanding, and communicating tax law changes
Other tasks, including those related to BEPS and transfer pricing regulations
Audit
Prepare and support the external Audit
Preparation of the consolidated financial statement
Climate-related disclosures (including coordination with external stakeholders)
Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or CA qualification.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in accounting and tax, in the energy or resources sector.
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards (AASB) and tax laws including GST, corporate income tax, and FBT.
Experience in monthly closing, preparing financial statements (B / S, P / L), and performing account reconciliations.
Experience in joint venture or project-based accounting.
