- Eligibility Criteria for disability support worker role
- Proof of right to work in Australia
- National police check
- Working with children's check (WWCC)
- NDIS worker's screening
- Certificate III and / or Certificate IV in Disability or Mental Health
- A current First Aid and CPR certificates
- 100 points of Identification
- Experience with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities is beneficial
- The role as a Disability Support Worker will include but not limited to
- Domestic assistance and community access
- Meal preparation and assistance
- Ability to prioritise tasks
- Ability to work with clients with complex intellectual disabilities and mental health challenges
- Initiative and problem solving skills whilst providing care
- Be a team player and have a strong positive "can do" attitude
