Job Description
- Provide sound tax planning advice and solutions to the business on day-to-day tax matters, e.g. tax asset effective lives, GST and expense reimbursement.
- Leverage interpersonal skills to authentically communicate with cross-functional stakeholders in the delivery of outcomes consistent with the companies tax management objectives.
- Advise and educate the wider business of key changes in tax legislation and reporting requirements, Double Tax Agreements, cashflow planning, tax governance and tax risk management, and transfer pricing requirements.
- Assist with external tax reviews and audits from the Australian Taxation Office, foreign tax authorities, and external tax advisors.
- Accountability for the preparation of Group's consolidated and standalone tax effect accounting calculations and note disclosures for the year-end and half-year reporting periods
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Tax Accountant should have :
A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA).Comprehensive understanding of Australian Tax Laws.Experience in tax compliance and strategy within the resources industry.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage relationships with external auditors and stakeholders.Proven experience in strategic planning and business decisions.
