Our client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Policy / Grants Officer to join their dynamic team on a Permanent Part-Time basis. This role is instrumental in driving this not-for-profit community-based organisation's mission forward by playing a pivotal role in developing policies and securing grants to support their initiatives. In this role, you will work closely with the executive team and stakeholders to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling grant proposals, and ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESResearch and analyse policies relevant to the organisation's mission and objectives.Develop and implement policy recommendations in collaboration with the executive team.Identify potential funding sources and grant opportunities aligned with the organisation's priorities.Prepare high-quality grant proposals, including budgets and supporting documentation.Monitor and evaluate grant-funded programs to ensure compliance with grant requirements and maximise impact.Stay informed about trends and developments in the fields relevant to the organisation's work.EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in a relevant field (eg. Public policy, international development, nonprofit management) highly desirable.Proven experience in policy analysis, development, or advocacy.Demonstrated success in securing grants and writing compelling proposals, preferably within the nonprofit or government sectors.Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Detail-orientated with strong organisational and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and grant management software.IMPORTANT TO NOTE
