Do you consider yourself a "real" Geo? One that legitimately loves rocks - passionate about geology? Do you see aeromag images as pretty colours or boundless geological potential? Do you love field mapping & the gentle hum of drill rigs? The mere thought of core logging gets your leg twitching and geochemistry is what gets you up in the morning!?
Want to work with some brilliant Geo's within a cashed up junior with many geographically & commodity diverse projects in highly prospective belts, basins, provinces and complexes? Commodities will include gold, Cu, Ni and a few others. You will have a huge influence on the company & the geology, working closely with the Exploration Manager and direct line to the MD.
Do you love excessive heat, the most persistent flies on the planet find the words "amphibolite facies" and "Neo, Meso and Palaeoproterozoic" vaguely arousing? I know! Me too.. you're only human.
Don't miss out on this one! Like the time I tried to make reservations at the library and couldn't get one. It was fully booked. Will never forget it.
Not you? Not sure what I'm on about? Let's not waste each others time then. Please don't apply. Alternatively, let me know why you studied geology - I'm intrigued.........
If you're itching to know more, read on!
This role will give you the opportunity to explore some truly unique and beautiful terrains over WA predominantly over multiple company projects / JV projects and get paid to visit parts of the country that the majority of the general population will never see! Uncover rocks that date back in excess of 2.5 billion years and traverse countryside that no other human has set eyes on.
Being remote projects, the roster when in the field will generally be 2 / 1, but in-between there will be office based work in Perth (home every night). Campaign FIFO basically.
To be the best contender for this role, your bag of tricks must contain :
I can see some of the queries now! "I love exploration Michael, but the roster is too long. Is that negotiable?". No, it isn't. You're in exploration - harden up & enjoy it.
What's the salary?". If that's your first question, then I'd be disappointed. But, to answer your question without answering it - salary is somewhat negotiable based on experience level & suitability.
When do they need someone to start?" - well, yesterday ideally, but will wait for the perfect Geo to give notice & get started (i.e flexible).
