In this brand new role for the organisation, the Deputy Chief Executive Officer will be at the forefront of strategic execution, cultural leadership, and operational delivery. Working closely with the Group CEO, you’ll shape the direction of a complex, multi-service organisation operating across youth & communities, child protection, disability, allied health and labour hire.

This role offers the opportunity to :

• Step into a key leadership role during a period of growth, reform, and opportunity
• Inspire and lead a high-performing executive team across diverse portfolios
• Drive cultural and operational excellence through meaningful service innovation
• Strengthen Indigenous leadership in community services
• Work in close partnership with the CEO , acting as a key conduit to staff and stakeholders

With four direct reports, broad cross-organisational influence, and community embeddedness, this role is suited to a visionary leader with strong operational depth, cultural intelligence, and sector credibility. The successful candidate will bring senior executive experience, ideally in child protection, disability, or adjacent human services and a deep personal alignment with DCC’s mission to empower individuals and families through compassionate, personalised care.

• Deep understanding of governance, compliance, risk, and service delivery excellence
• A people-first leadership style that fosters growth, inclusion, and accountability
• The ability to influence and represent DCC at executive, government and community levels
• A strong appreciation of Indigenous culture and its significance in service design and delivery
