Accountant - 12 month contract - Automotive / Manufacturing Sector

My client is a leading automotive parts manufacturer / supplier, dedicated to providing high-quality products to their valued customers. With a strong commitment to excellence, technology, customer service and continuous improvement they are a successful business, who continue to grow.

Currently they are seeking a skilled and adaptable Contract Accountant to join their dynamic team.  As the Accountant, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial & administrative operations and ensuring compliance with corporate requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to the financial success of the business, and be part of a small but dedicated team.

Key accountabilities will include :

• Prepare month-end financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Ensure compliance with various financial regulations, including superannuation, payroll tax, PAYG reporting, FBT, and work cover etc.
• Collaborate with the management team to provide financial insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Adapt to and drive change initiatives to enhance financial processes and efficiency and system / ERP change
