UGLs Maintenance & Manufacturing facility based in

• Bassendean
• has an opportunity for an experienced
• Trades Assistant
• to join the team. This position will be a permanent full-time opportunity working on a rotating roster, one week dayshift 6.00 am - 2.30 pm, one week afternoon shift 1.30 pm - 10.30 pm.

Reporting to the workshop supervisor, the main purpose of this role is to assist qualified trades staff in the performance of their work in a safe and efficient manner to deliver an exceptional standard of service to our clients.

• Assist tradespeople as instructed to enable work to be carried out
• Operate hand tools in safe and efficient manner
• Assist in maintenance and overhaul activities on a variety of components
• Labouring duties as required
• Cleaning armature & stator cores for rewind
• Ensure active involvement in Lean practices
• A strong commitment to maintaining a safety environment
• This role is not suitable for job seekers on a Working Holiday Visa (417 / 462) due to the role being a full-time position
• About You
• Minimum 3 months experience on a maintenance site preferred but not essential
• Elevated Work Platform ticket
• preferred but not essential
• Dogman ticket
• is highly desirable
• C' Class Drivers License
• Able to perform duties, maintaining high standards in both Safety and Quality.
• Sound experience in a similar role assisting trades people in a heavy industry environment
• High level of measuring skills and eye for detail and quality standards
• Strong safety culture and attitude towards safety
• Strong communication skills
