The Role We are currentlyseeking an experienced and results driven Operations Manager to join our busy team based in Kwinana. You will require excellent organisational & interpersonal skills along with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
Reporting to the WA State Manager, you will manage client stakeholders, maintain project timelines and budgets, and report on business performance to ensure the most strategic functionality of the business into the future.
Key Responsibilities include : Prepare work programs to achieve planned production and direct production activities, operating hours and supply of raw materials
Produce products as per manufacturing instructions and ensure product meets QC standards by liaising with the laboratory
Manage projects to achieve successful delivery
Responsible for identifying, leading and delivering various projects that will improve efficiency and quality
Develop, schedule, cost and control all resource requirements for the effective delivery of project outcomes
Manage the calling, analysis, letting and contract administration for all sub-contractors and suppliers in accordance with established legislation, policies, standards, procedures, and project requirements
Analyse and control project schedules to deliver project objectives and milestones within agreed timeframes
Conduct onsite project progress reviews and proactively intervene to ensure the project is kept on track to meet the project objectives and targets
Overall supervision and management of the contracting / project operations and for the achievement of specified WHSEQ performance, time, cost, and quality
Continuously strengthen and manage relationships with customers, key stakeholders, and suppliers necessary for the commercial success of the business
Optimise profit and financial performance through leadership and management of the responsible areas within the business
Ensure that all matters of poor performance / misconduct discipline are conducted within the confines of all relevant legislation, awards, agreements etc
Operate in and contribute to a team environment within the group to facilitate efficient and effective operations and achievement of objectives
Other duties as required
The successful candidate will have : Minimum of 2 years in the bitumen, chemical, gas or petro-chemicalindustry
Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent experience in bitumen plants
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget
Demonstrated experience leading a team
