This opportunity sits within the ASC's Finance and Governance Group — a team committed to shape and drive the strategic direction of the ASC - through the promotion of fiscal responsibility, enhancements to capabilities and efficient enabling services. Within this Group, the Financial Accounting Branch and specifically the Procure to Pay (P2P) Team are responsible for delivering procurement, purchasing, and associated corporate services across the ASC. We are dedicated to developing streamlined, integrated solutions that enable our people to focus on delivering successful procurement outcomes, while reducing unnecessary complexity and administrative burden.

About the role –
As a Procurement Advisor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, strategic, and solutions-focused procurement advice and support across the ASC. You will work closely with the Assistant Director and the broader P2P Team to enhance procurement practices, strengthen current frameworks, and support the delivery of effective and compliant procurement outcomes.
In this role, you will :
Provide strategic procurement advice and hands-on support to ensure the successful delivery of key initiatives, including the ASC's AIS Podium Project, a high-value infrastructure project critical to the ASC. Develop and review procurement documentation, assist with planning activities, and guide stakeholders through end-to-end procurement processes. Foster strong relationships with internal clients, offering practical training and advice to uplift procurement capabilities across the ASC. You will also assist in broader procurement activities across the ASC, providing expert advice, supporting project delivery, and helping to embed best-practice procurement principles throughout the organisation. About you –
To succeed in this role, you will bring :
Relevant qualifications in procurement, contract management, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in strategic procurement, commercial engagements, and policy development in a government or similar environment. Strong ability to interpret, apply, and navigate legislative frameworks and procurement policy requirements. Proven experience in providing compelling, timely, and solutions-focused advice to a range of stakeholders. Highly developed skills in managing competing priorities, risk, and strategic planning. A track record of leading or contributing to cultural change and improving compliance through innovative procurement practices. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills. A proactive, continuous improvement mindset with a focus on achieving practical, high-value outcomes.
