Details : ACT Courts and Tribunal is seeking an experienced Director of Procurement and Contracts to join the Property, Procurement and Programs Team.
Under the broad direction of the Senior Director Property, Procurement and Programs, the Director Procurement and Contracts will :
Lead a small high performing team, ensuring best practise procurement principles are applied to deliver effective procurement outcomes.Work collaboratively with stakeholders across ACT Government, and industry to ensure optimal outcomes through establishing and maintaining effective partnerships.Ensure timely, efficient procurement, supply and purchasing of goods and services relevant to core functions.Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, ACT Government policy frameworks for project, procurement and contract management.Undertake research and analysis related to procurement, contract strategy and execution, providing expert advice to inform business cases, procurement activities and contract management.Provide high quality and timely reporting, briefs and advice to senior management, executives and business units.Provide contract management and contract administration, as well as provide oversight and management of operational contract managers, to monitor contract performance to achieve business outcomes.ACT Courts and Tribunal (ACTCT) supports the proper administration of justice by providing high quality support to judicial officers and tribunal members and high-quality services to those using the courts and tribunal. It provides the Supreme Court, Magistrates Court and ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal (ACAT) with registry, court support, forensic, corporate and strategic services. Eligibility / Other Requirements
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated experience in the leadership, management and facilitation of significant and complex procurements and contracts, including the proven ability to deliver procurement outcomes within budget, scope and time.Demonstrated experience in the interpretation and application of legislation, regulations, corporate objectives and governance frameworks to undertake procurement.High level analysis skills including the ability to report on and present findings to an Executive audience.
Behavioural Capabilities
Demonstrated experience in effectively leading and managing teams while working autonomously to deliver high quality outputs and results in a high-pressure environment.Demonstrated interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to effectively negotiate and reach agreed outcomes.Demonstrated superior written and oral communication skills, with the ability to represent the branch in high level committees and with stakeholder negotiations.
Compliance Requirements / Qualifications
Certificate IV or Diploma Procurement and Contract Management is highly desirable.A 'C' Class Driver's licence is essential.This position may require a Working with Vulnerable People Check.This position does not require a pre-employment medical.
