Based in Bellevue, Western Australia, Avtech is known for delivering precision machining of unwavering quality to meet our customer requirements. Reporting to the workshop manager, the successful candidate will primarily undertake the following (amongst other duties as required) :

Key responsibilities of the role Setting, programming and operating, Okuma and Mazak (Integrex) Machining Centres.Maximise utilisation of machines and optimise programmes to achieve efficiencies.Mentor and contribute to the growth of our apprentices.Willing to lead by example and set a higher standard.Be a great team player.Key qualifications of the role A passion for precision machining and continuous ImprovementMore than proficient in one off / jobbing programming and set up,Edgecam experiencedHold the appropriate Australian recognised Trade CertificateAt least 5 years experience machining within Australia,Experience with Okuma and Mazak 5 axis machining centres;A motivated can-do attitude; andExcellent communication skills and willing to contribute to the greater company outcomes.Our Offer Career progression within the business.Exposure to new operating platforms and software.Work within a team of highly skilled machinists.An attractive hourly rate commensurate with experience.If you are an experienced CNC machinist looking for an exciting opportunity, apply now!
