The Role
As our library expands in anticipation of our brand new facilities in Ballan, we’re looking for a passionate and community-minded Senior Library Officer - Adult Programs to join our vibrant library team. If you’re someone who thrives on delivering engaging programs, building relationships, and making a difference through literacy and learning, this is your opportunity to shine.
Key responsibilities include assisting with library initiatives to bridge the digital divide, organising and delivering programs for adults, conducting collection development work and providing outreach to promote services provided by the library. This is a part-time position working 22.5 hours per week, your hours will be spread across Monday to Saturday as rostered and could be across our Bacchus Marsh & Ballan libraries.

About You
You’re a passionate library professional who thrives on connecting people with ideas, stories, and lifelong learning. With a strong understanding of the role libraries play in community life, you bring creativity, warmth, and initiative to everything you do. Whether you're designing engaging adult programs, helping someone navigate digital tools, or building relationships with local organisations, you’re all about making the library a welcoming, inclusive, and inspiring space for all.
We are looking for an experience Library Officer with tertiary qualifications relating to Library Studies or lesser formal qualifications and experience in a similar role.
