PetRescue is a national animal welfare charity with a vision of a future where every pet is safe, respected and loved. They run numerous innovative programs and provide the most successful rescue pet adoption platform in Australia - and, we reckon, the world!

PetRescue is Australia's most highly trafficked charity website, connecting thousands of rescue pets with over 30,000 potential adopters daily. For the geek in you, that's over 600,000 unique visitors and more than 8.3 million page views monthly!

They are funded by corporate and philanthropic partners, supported by millions of pet adopters, and valued by hundreds of rescue groups, shelters and pounds for innovative free adoption services and programs.

  • What you'll be doing
  • As a vital member of the small PetRescue team, you'll directly support the Managing Director, the wider executive team and the organisation's operations.

    As the organisation's Executive Assistant, you will be entrusted with tasks, removing obstacles and helping improve efficiency!

    Your attention to detail means deadlines and requirements will be met, ensuring every task is executed diligently to help us meet our goals.

    Your inquisitive nature will drive you to ask the right questions, allowing you to fully understand a task (and learn along the way!). Equipped with this knowledge, you'll search for relevant information and present valuable insights shaping the way forward.

    As a sleeves-rolled-up team player, you love collaborating with others. Working seamlessly alongside the team, you'll tackle any task that comes your way, demonstrating your versatility and adaptability.

    You'll take charge with mínimal direction, utilising your problem-solving skills to deliver outstanding results.

    You'll be the one who's always in the know about what's happening within the team. Your greatest strengths will be your proactive attitude, initiative, and desire to lend a helping hand.

    You'll build strong relationships, foster a positive and supportive team environment, and consistently strive to run a smooth-sailing workplace.

  • What will you bring to the role
  • Your proven experience managing multiple calendars and schedules, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Your ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively while handling multiple responsibilities.
  • Your familiarity with document control procedures and records management.
  • Your previous office management experience including supplies, equipment, and contractor relationships.
  • Your understanding of HR, Compliance and Finance processes and the ability to provide administrative support in these areas.
  • Your research and analytical skills to gather information and identify business opportunities
  • Experience with working with digital-first teams and comfortable with online communication tools, e.g. Slack, Teams or similar, and video conferencing held in high regard, e.g. Zoom, Google Meet or similar
