MACS is the employer of employees at Saint Francis de Sales.We are currently seeking a full time -Teacher for a Middle Primary Class to commence in Term 3, 2025.Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment.
The emphasis of this planning is on Faith-Based Inquiry.
They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.Job description : Provide challenging and engaging learning experiences that are responsive to student needsDifferentiate within a classroom and programs, to ensure consistent and effective educational opportunities and academic growth for all studentsLiaise with the Learning Diversity Leader to plan and cater for students with additional needs including the creation of Personalised Learning PlansLead Parent Support Group Meetings to effectively communicate students' learning goals and progress Make appropriate adjustments for students' learning needs and maintain up to date records to collate for NCCD data collection Build home-school partnerships and effectively communicate student progressBe accountable in being curriculum compliant eg : teaching the mandated hours in Literacy, Mathematics, RE Have planning completed prior to the commencement of the teaching weekRecord evidence of learning including focus group notes, intervention notes / dataLead Parent Learning Conversations at least two times a year, and communicate student learning progress with parents throughout the year as per the school reporting scheduleMonitor and assess student performance and use data to inform learning and teachingClearly document teaching and learning programs and maintain accurate records of student learning and progressTrack data to analyse and reflect on the effect of teaching and learning programsReliably report and provide frequent feedback to students about their learningMaintain deep knowledge of curriculum content and how to teach it using research best practiceEmbrace the use of digital technologies to enhance learning and continue development of digital technology skills as technology evolvesEngage in professional discussions and feedback to improve professional knowledge and practiceAttend and engage in weekly staff PL and PLT meetingsAdditional duties as directed by the principalSkills / Experience required : Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.A strong commitment to Catholic education.An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.An eagerness to learn.An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.Special Requirements : Saint Francis de Sales promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.Contact details of two referees.
