As a Asset Management Officer, you will be responsible for :
Collaborating with the Department, TAFE Queensland, and relevant stakeholders on infrastructure initiatives for the North Region, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and goals.Providing leadership in campus utilisation and infrastructure development to meet current and future training needs.Engaging stakeholders to advance infrastructure and asset initiatives.Managing development projects, including planning, development processes, and reporting.This position reports to the Manager, Infrastructure and Logistics.
This is a permanent, full-time position.
The role is primarily based at Cairns or Townsville campuses, with potential work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.
Key Responsibilities include : Promoting safety culture and supporting the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System.Applying project management skills to infrastructure projects, including research, analysis, and decision-making.Ensuring timely completion of infrastructure projects using project management methodologies.Developing and advising on asset management processes, monitoring progress to meet organisational needs.Facilitating change and implementing strategies for organisational improvement.Communicating effectively with stakeholders on project outcomes and benefits.Negotiating and developing project proposals aligned with ROI and strategic objectives.Reporting on project progress to senior staff.Supporting business units with project methodologies and tools.Developing and implementing annual maintenance plans and strategic maintenance frameworks.Researching, preparing reports, and liaising with stakeholders on project activities.Participating in networks, team activities, and professional development.Undertaking other duties as directed.Assessment Criteria : Strong project management skills with experience in developing plans, strategies, and solutions.Experience guiding teams and managing project methodologies in Asset Management.Understanding of asset management functions, including developing asset management plans and strategies.Flexibility, initiative, and adaptability in dynamic environments.Excellent communication skills and stakeholder relationship management.Interpersonal and negotiation skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders.Highly Desirable : Qualification in Project Management or equivalent experience.Experience with Asset Management Systems.Knowledge of project management methodologies.Application Process : Interested candidates should submit a detailed resume, a cover letter addressing the assessment criteria (max 2 pages), and contact details for two referees (including your current supervisor) via the TAFE Queensland Recruitment Portal.
