What are the duties of a Support Worker??
A Support Worker must provide respectful relationships and develop professional relationships with their clients and other workers. They should also provide a safe, non-threatening, comfortable environment and positive social and emotional support systems. In addition, Support Workers must meet their individual needs for the purpose of improving the quality of life through enhancing and maintaining daily living skills, social image and assisting with their physical well-being. They may also need to provide assistance with toileting, showering, meal assistance, grooming, dressing, household chores, light gardening and other tasks as required. Lastly, Support Workers will also need to assist them in integrating into the wider community.
