The Company… This state government department plays a pivotal role in advancing the ACT's development and is actively engaged in a Product-based Operating Model program.

Due to an increase in workload, this respectable government organisation urgently requires a Program Secretariat report into the Program Manager.

This is a 12-month contract with flexible hybrid work arrangements.

Ideal for a seasoned secretariat professional with experience supporting government programs and a proven ability to manage governance in complex environments.

The Job… Reporting into the Program Manager, in this Program Secretariat, PMO focused role, you will be responsible for the following duties : Provide secretariat support to the Program Manager and governance forums.

Prepare and manage executive documents, including briefs, agendas, minutes, and action logs.

Track and follow up on risks, issues, decisions, and actions.

Collaborate with staff, committees, and stakeholders to support delivery and resolve issues.

Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

Maintain records and ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Support contract, budget, and invoicing processes.

You… To be successful in this role, you must have experience in the following areas : 10 years' experience in administrative or secretariat roles, ideally within government or large-scale organisations.

Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to produce high-quality written materials.

Tertiary qualifications or certification in Public Administration, Program / Project Management, or a related field are highly desirable.
