The Role The People & Culture Manager leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering high-quality internal services across human resources, recruitment, training, learning and development, marketing and communications, and front-of-house operations. This role is pivotal in shaping and sustaining a positive workplace culture that reflects "Who We Are," while aligning People & Culture strategies with broader organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities People Focus :
Develop and implement workforce plans to support organisational growth across Tasmania and Victoria.
Enhance employee engagement and capability through targeted learning and development initiatives.
Oversee recruitment processes and talent acquisition strategies to meet evolving workforce needs.
Provide leadership and guidance on HR compliance, employee relations, and performance management.
Deliver leadership and development programs to build a strong leadership pipeline.
Advance Gender Equality Action Plan initiatives to foster a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Drive and deliver Health & Wellbeing Program initiatives.
Marketing & Communications Focus :
Strategic Oversight : Lead the integration of marketing and communications into the People & Culture portfolio, ensuring all outputs - from capability statements to social media are aligned with the organisation's purpose, vision and values.
Content Leadership : Oversee the creation of high-quality, audience-specific content that reflects the organisation's capabilities, culture, and community impact.
Digital Presence : Drive the evolution of the company's digital footprint, including website and social media strategy, to position the organisation as a leader in its field.
Internal-External Alignment : Ensure internal initiatives such as the Respect Code, Graduate and Apprentice Programs, and Health & Wellbeing campaigns are effectively communicated externally to reinforce the company's identity.
Brand Stewardship : Act as a guardian of the brand, ensuring all communications - whether recruitment ads, community sponsorships, or management messaging are professional, consistent, and reflective of the organisation's commitment to excellence.
What We're Looking For Postgraduate qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Development, or Leadership.
Demonstrated leadership experience in human resources, organisational development, or people and culture roles, ideally within a multi-site or complex organisational structure.
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across HR, recruitment, L&D, and communications functions.
Strong understanding of contemporary HR practices, employment legislation, and workforce planning.
Experience in developing and implementing strategic people initiatives that align with organisational goals.
Capability in managing change, fostering positive workplace culture, and driving employee engagement.
Familiarity with marketing and communications strategy, particularly in aligning internal culture with external brand identity.
High-level communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
