Key Responsibilities :

• Patient Care : Provide medical services and expert consultations within the Paediatric Unit, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
• Clinical Leadership : Foster a collaborative team environment by offering clinical leadership and supervising trainee medical officers.
• Documentation and Communication : Ensure accurate documentation of clinical care in electronic medical records and timely communication with referrers.
• Administrative Support : Engage in administrative activities related to clinical service provision and assist the Head of Unit in planning and organising services.
• Community Networking : Develop community networks that support the Unit’s objectives and attend outpatient clinics as required.
• Emergency Services : Provide after-hours emergency paediatric services and participate in the on-call roster as needed.

What We’re Looking For :

• Must have a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, with appropriate specialist qualifications, eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
• Demonstrated experience in providing paediatric care within local and regional referral networks.
• Proven background in managing paediatric patients effectively.
• Experience in engaging in quality improvement activities to enhance healthcare delivery.
• Background in research and teaching, contributing to the advancement of paediatric practices and education.
