You're an experienced service professional in the agricultural machinery space seeking the opportunity to throw yourself into the Aussie lifestyle!
As the Assistant Service Manager within a well established and growing machinery dealer, you will be at the heart of service operations, working closely with highly skilled technicians and a dedicated customer service team.
This role offers a balance of hands-on technical work, service management and leadership responsibilities.
You will mentor and support the service team, manage service operations, and build strong relationships with our valued customers. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and customer-centric approach will ensure our machinery runs smoothly and efficiently.
This employer is actively seeking ag machinery professionals from abroad and are fully prepared to support with relocation costs and visa applications where necessary.
Key Responsibilities :
Technical Support : Perform hands-on technical tasks, including diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of agricultural machinery.
Team Leadership : Mentor and guide service technicians, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
Service Management : Reporting to the Service Manager, play a key role in daily service operations, ensuring timely and efficient completion of work orders. Lead on service management in the absence of the Service Manager.
Customer Liaison : Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their service needs and providing expert advice.
Sales Support : Collaborate with the sales team to identify and address customer needs, contributing to sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Quality Assurance : Ensure all service work meets company standards and customer expectations, maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
Problem Solving : Diagnose complex technical issues and develop effective solutions, minimising downtime and maximising customer satisfaction.
Reporting : Maintain accurate records of service activities, customer interactions, and inventory management.
Qualifications :
Proven experience in the service and maintenance of agricultural machinery.
Degree level qualification in a relevant field ( mechanical engineering)
Strong technical skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Leadership aptitude, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Ability to work collaboratively with sales and customer service teams.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
