Overview
In the role of a Claims Officer you will be responsible for delivering a personalised, empathetic and organised claims management service to the SA Community, supporting the return to work process for individuals who have experienced a workplace injury. You will work with Return to Work Specialists, Impairment Benefit Specialists, Dispute Resolution Officers and other technical roles within the SA operations, providing claim management functions and administrative support with a focus on internal and external customer service.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Upload all relevant data and information into Gallagher Bassett and Return to Work SA systems in a timely manner
- Provide high quality customer service by actively listening, showing empathy and recognising the needs of the worker and employer
- Receive phone claim lodgement from injured worker or employer and call the secondary party to verify information within appropriate time frames
- Manage the determination of low risk claims (e.g., medical expenses only and Noise Induced Hearing Loss)
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry for determinations and payments, focusing on compliance with legislation
- Educate stakeholders on the RTW process, legislative requirements, initial claims decision, formal statement requirement and advocate the mobile case management service where necessary
- Provide proactive claims management support for internal stakeholders (booking appointments and referrals with medical providers, drafting and issuing letters to stakeholders, processing invoices in a timely manner)
