We are proud of the achievements of our school and are excited about the future.Your RoleAs the Head of Special Education at Warrigal Road State School, you will lead and deliver the following key tasks : Manage and Coordinate Support : Oversee the delivery of high-quality advice and support provided by the Special Education Program (SEP) and / or Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP).Leadership and Management : Lead and manage the SEP and / or ECDP to provide essential advice to classroom teachers for students with disabilities.High-Quality Advice : Offer expert advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers, and other school staff to develop, plan, and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disabilities.Targeted Teaching : Coordinate and provide intensive, targeted teaching for students requiring additional intervention.Case Management : Support and / or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments.Access to Specialist Services : Support classroom teachers and other school staff to access departmental or other external specialist services, professional development, and necessary supports.School Decision-Making : Participate actively in school decision-making processes and professional development to contribute to the school's goals, vision, and planning.Data Systems Management : Implement and coordinate school-wide systems, including data systems, to monitor students with disabilities and record the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disabilities (NCCD).Community Partnerships : Establish and maintain partnerships with parents, government agencies, and community groups to support students with disabilities.Resource Management : Manage human, financial, facilities, and curriculum resources to achieve the school's goals.Interested?
