The Director, Digital Service Delivery is responsible for ensuring that the QCS business-IT environment is stable, reliable and sufficiently flexible to respond to business change and delivering responsive IT support to all staff across QCS enabling them to meet service delivery commitments.
- In this role you will
- lead the Infrastructure and Cloud Services team responsible for data storage technology, including on-premise services (infrastructure operations and build) and cloud-based storage (cloud operations and build)
- provide direction and advice on innovative and forward-thinking solutions leveraging cross-agency synergies where possible to achieve cost savings, and ensuring alignment with the ICT strategy and enterprise architecture
- deliver and support underlying technology, develop roadmaps and be responsible for the entire value chain of platforms through the entire lifecycle
- be accountable for the core QCS ICT platforms and processes and practices that effectively manage the associated database, storage, network, communication and compute services
- monitor performance and trends across IT system faults and service requests, ensuring any systemic risks or issues are investigated and addressed or mitigated through, for example changes in procedures, user training requirements, devising work-arounds, or correcting faults
- provide strategic advice to governance bodies, including those for IT strategic projects or system change initiatives, to ensure that any decisions impacting future IT solutions take into consideration existing systems challenges and common faults and learnings from client's business requirements
