Job Description
Reporting to the WHS Lead, Oceania, this role involves :
- Develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies and procedures in line with regulations and best practices.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance across all operations.
- Lead safety training programs and workshops for staff and management.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with the Engineering & Manufacturing department to identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Prepare and present detailed WHS reports to senior management.
- Oversee emergency response plans and ensure readiness for any incidents.
- Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
- Travelling to sites as required
The Successful Applicant
A successful WHS Manager should have :
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in WHS (minimum)
- 5 years\' experience in WHS Manager role (ideally 7-10) within a complex multi-site environment
- Strong influencing and communication skills
- Driver\'s licence
- Ability to work at pace and adapt
- Member of AIHS or similar
Desirable (but not essential) would be :
- Experience working in logistics or transport environment
- Exposure to sustainability practices
- Formal auditing qualifications
- Knowledge of Iso45001
- Knowledge of works compensation
