Key Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibility 1 : EVALUATION OF CONTRACT CLAIMS
- Evaluates the veracity and propriety of contractual claims such as time extensions, suspensions, resumptions, variation orders (change order and / or extra work order) and other related contractual issues involving engineering in adherence to contract specifications, existing corporate policies and procedures and applicable rules and regulations.
- Coordinates with Proponents (Engineering Construction Department and Engineering Design Department) to gather information and completed documentation relative to the claim being evaluated.
- Conducts on‑site verification / inspection relative to the resolution of specified field changes, modifications and non‑conformance identified during contract implementation.
Prepares and consolidates the following :
Evaluation Report which contains the details, justifications and the basis of the contract claim.Memo Endorsement to Approving AuthorityOther documents relevant for the endorsement and approval of the contract claimResponsibility 2 : MAINTENANCE OF DATABASE AND ASSISTANCE TO CONTRACT MANAGEMENT PROCESSES
Maintains and updates database of project status for monitoring purposes and as reference for evaluation of contract time extension, contract securities (Performance Security and Contractor’s All Risk Insurance), and / or variation order.Assists in the review of existing contract provision to conform with the requirements in the scope of works / specifications consistent with engineering standards, construction plans and drawings, existing corporate policies and procedures and applicable rules and regulations.Responsibility 3 : SAFETY AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT
Ensure that activities are fully compliant with NGCP safety / quality standards.Complies with applicable regulations and NGCP standards on safety and quality.Strives for the continuous improvement of NGCP processes necessary for the achievement of corporate objectives.Upholds corporate policies and guidelines.Responsibility 4 : ATTENDS MEETINGS AND CONFERENCES RELATIVE TO FUNCTIONS REGARDING CONTRACT MANAGEMENT

Requirements
Position Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Civil EngineeringApplicable license and / or certification : Licenses Electrical / Civil EngineerProfessional Experience : 2 years of relevant experience in contract managementCompetencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Technical and contractual knowledge in project contracting of Substation and Transmission Line projectsKnowledge on the different types of contracts for infrastructure projects such as Substations and Transmission LinesTechnical writing proficiency for the documentation of the evaluation of contractual claims and other reportsCommunication skills for the preparation of internal / external memorandum, correspondences and reportsKnowledge and skills in the use of application software such as MS Office (Excel, Power Point and Word)For internal applicants, include application letter approved by the Department Manager addressed to Talent Sourcing & Resourcing Manager and send to [emailprotected]
