CONTRACT MANAGEMENT PRINCIPAL ENGINEER

Reporting to the Contract Management Supervisor & Contracts and Specification Senior Manager, the successful candidate will be responsiblefor undertaking various activities relative to the analysis and evaluation of contractual claims including assistance in the resolution of contractual issues related to Metro Manila, North Luzon and South Luzon Transmission Projects.

• Evaluates the veracity and propriety of contractual claims such as time extensions, suspensions, resumptions, variation orders (change order and / or extra work order) and other related contractual issues involving engineering in adherence to contract specifications, existing corporate policies and procedures and applicable rules and regulations;
• Coordinates with Proponents (Engineering Construction Department and Engineering Design Department) to gather information and complete documentation relative to the claim being evaluated;
• Conducts on-site verification / inspection relative to the resolution of specified field changes, modifications and non-conformance identified during contract implementation;
• Assists in the settlement / resolution of contractual disputes, queries and deviations from contract agreement consistent with contract specifications, existing corporate policies and procedures;
• Assists in the review of enhancements to the existing contract provisions to conform to the requirements of the scope of works / specifications consistent with engineering standards, construction plans and drawings, existing corporate policies and procedures and applicable rules and regulations;
• Participates in the development of procedures and guidelines for the enhancement of contract administration
