We are currently seeking an experienced and / or capable handyman / woman (person) to join our team at Hire A Hubby Bundaberg. Due to rapid business expansion, we are looking to bolster our existing team to better serve our residential and commercial clients within the Wide Bay Burnett community.
Hire A Hubby Bundaberg is a family‑owned small business and part of Australia's largest handyman franchise organisation. We are committed to providing our clients with a complete solution for all their property maintenance needs. We offer competitive remuneration with limited (if any) weekend work. Both full‑time and part‑time roles are currently available.
We are looking for problem‑solvers who possess excellent customer service skills, have had previous / or some property maintenance or related industry experience, who take pride in their work, can think independently, and are capable of working autonomously or as part of a team. Qualifications & Experience :
Previous hands‑on experience in the maintenance / building and construction industry is a bonus but not required (home renovation experience is also welcome);
Have had previous and / or some experience with carpentry, tiling, painting, plastering, labouring, use of basic tools / power tools, property maintenance or handyman / woman (person) skills / experience;
Show evidence of your eligibility to work in Australia;
Hold current White and Blue Card (or be able to obtain them within 30 days of employment);
Hold a current Police Check (National Police Certificate) or be willing to obtain one before commencement.
Hold a current Australian driver's licence;
Provide your own vehicle to and from the pick up point (company vehicles will be available for use during business hours)
Have basic computer and smartphone skills for job scheduling and use of communication systems.
Tasks & Responsibilities :
Proven ability to manage projects in a set time frame with limited supervision;
Be proficient in the safe use of both basic hand tools and power tools;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, within the team and with the clients;
Can do attitude and an ability to work with limited supervision within our team;
Demonstrate problem solving skills to ensure each job is carried out efficiently and with consistent attention to detail;
Carry out each job to an excellent standard and ensure all of our clients are 100% satisfied with the work completed;
Be able to uphold and maintain a safe, and tidy work environment at all times;
Have Impeccable personal presentation and commitment to maintaining good personal hygiene.
After a period of time and at the completion of a performance review, we will consider offering the right candidates a company supplied vehicle and fuel card for business purposes.
Weekend work generally on an emergency only basis.
Assistance with ongoing training and obtaining relevant industry licenses
Supplied uniform / apparel.
