Pre-Sales & Delivery Engineer (EV Charging Infrastructure)
Location : Sydney / Melbourne / Brisbane
Salary : $150,000 – $160,000 base + ESOP + up to $20K bonus
Type : Full-time | Hybrid with interstate travel
About the Role
A fast-growing EV infrastructure business is expanding its presence in Australia and seeking a talented Pre-Sales & Delivery Engineer to help deploy cutting-edge high-voltage fast-charging systems for commercial and heavy-fleet customers. This hybrid position combines technical pre-sales support with delivery management , bridging the gap between engineering, utilities, and customers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing solutions, supporting tenders, coordinating deployments, and helping scale the company’s footprint across Australia.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical interface between customers, engineering, and utilities during all project stages.
- Lead pre-sales activities including scoping, system design, and proposal development.
- Manage delivery and deployment of high-voltage connected fast-charging systems.
- Liaise with DNSPs and grid operators to coordinate site connections and compliance.
- Translate complex technical information into clear, customer-friendly presentations.
- Conduct site visits and support installation teams as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of products, processes, and customer experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or related Engineering discipline.5–10+ years’ experience across electrical infrastructure, power systems, or grid connection projects.Proven experience working with HV systems and DNSPs / utilities.Strong blend of technical, commercial, and customer-facing skills.Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of building trust and credibility with clients.Comfortable working in agile or startup environments with a hands-on approach.Willingness to travel interstate for customer meetings and site visits (approx. 20–30%).Desirable
Experience in EV charging, renewables, or electrification projects.Background in consulting engineering or systems integration.Familiarity with large-scale transport, fleet, or industrial electrical systems.Why Join
