Business Development Manager Exciting Opportunity : Join our client as a Business Development Manager! We're now looking for a Business Development Manager to join a dynamic team in Western Australia and drive our growth in the region.

Your Role : As a Business Development Manager in this key growth role, you will be responsible for expanding our footprint in the demand response space. You'll work directly with key industries such as manufacturing, cement, pulp & paper, data centers, and mining to help them unlock new revenue streams through their energy flexibility. This means helping customers optimize their energy consumption and become active participants in the energy market through our Virtual Power Plant platform.

Key responsibilities : Build and nurture strategic relationships with key customer accounts to understand their energy needs and challenges, identifying opportunities where our client can provide solutions. Offer tailored solutions from our client's diverse portfolio, including demand response, energy efficiency, and backup power systems, to help customers maximize value and reduce operational costs. Leverage our market-leading VPP platform to orchestrate real-time energy trading and optimization, delivering results for customers while driving growth for the company. Educate and guide customers through the evaluation and decision-making process, ensuring they clearly understand the value of our solutions and feel confident in their choice to partner with our client. Drive results and measure success through key metrics related to customer outcomes and business development targets, ensuring growth in both revenue and market share. Build our profile and brand in Western Australia by representing our client as the trusted partner for energy solutions in the commercial and industrial sectors. What We're Looking For : Proven business development experience : You have a successful track record of B2B solution-selling, especially in industries with complex energy needs, and have consistently met or exceeded business development targets. Expertise in the energy sector : Ideally, you have a deep understanding of wholesale electricity markets, energy flexibility solutions, or B2B energy systems, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a simple and accessible way. Strong communication skills : You can engage customers, stakeholders, and senior decision-makers with confidence and clarity, ensuring your proposals are compelling and actionable. Curiosity and drive : You thrive in a fast-paced industry and are always eager to learn, adapt, and stay ahead of market trends. Relevant qualifications : A business or engineering degree will be an asset, and experience in energy markets, power systems, or related sectors is a plus. Established professional network : If you have existing connections within key customer sectors, that's a huge bonus!
